Something Shifted — Reflections on the First Nova Soul Circle
I've been sitting with how to write this post for a little while now. Not because I didn't know what to say, but because what happened at the first Nova Soul Circle felt like something worth taking a breath before putting into words.
So here goes.
On Saturday 26th April, eight women gathered at Yoga Tree in Stirling. They came not knowing each other particularly well. They came carrying the quiet weight of their everyday lives — the things we rarely say out loud, the parts of ourselves we've learned to tuck away. They came, I think, simply trusting that there might be something here for them.
What unfolded that aftwenoon was one of the most meaningful evenings I've had the privilege of holding space for.
What Nova Soul Circle Actually Is
If you haven't come across it before, Nova Soul Circle is a small, intimate women's gathering that I created to bring together three things I love and believe in deeply: ceremonial cacao, guided hypnosis, and the kind of honest, unhurried conversation that only happens when women feel truly safe.
We opened the evening by preparing and drinking cacao together — a beautiful Celtic Spring blend from Forever Cacao, sourced from the Ashaninka community. There's something about holding a warm cup and setting an intention that immediately shifts the energy in a room. People soften. The mask that we so often don't even realise we're wearing starts to quietly come off.
From there, I guided the group through a hypnosis journey — one that invited each woman to turn gently inward, to meet the different parts of herself with curiosity rather than judgement. We journalled. We shared, if we wanted to. We sat in the kind of collective quiet that doesn't feel uncomfortable — it feels like relief.
What I Witnessed That Night
I watched women name things they'd never said out loud before. I watched shoulders drop. I watched eyes light up — in that way when you finally feel reconnect and relaxed.
One moment that stays with me is just the sound of the room during the hypnosis. Complete stillness. Eight women, fully present with themselves. It reminded me of why I do this work.
The feedback afterwards was genuinely touching. Women spoke about feeling lighter. About feeling less alone. About being surprised by what came up for them — in the best way. Several of them said it was exactly what they hadn't known they needed.
That, honestly, is everything to me.
Why I'm Doing It Again
I knew before the evening was even over that this wasn't a one-off.
There's something about a small, carefully held space like this that I believe more women need access to. We are so good at giving. At managing. At getting on with it. And we are often so bad at giving ourselves permission to simply be — to slow down, to check in, to remember that we are more than our to-do lists.
Nova Soul Circle is my answer to that. A monthly pause. A space where nothing is required of you except to show up honestly.
Join Us — Sunday 31st May
The next Nova Soul Circle is happening on Sunday 31st May, and I would love for you to be part of it.
Spaces are intentionally small — this is a gathering, not a workshop, and that intimacy matters. If you feel drawn to it, I'd encourage you to trust that feeling.
Whether you've never tried hypnotherapy before, whether you're curious about cacao, whether you simply long for an evening in good company where you can breathe — you're welcome here.
You can find out more and secure your space over on the Nova Holistic Studio website.
I can't wait to hold this space again. See you there. 🌙
